Unfortunately, many underserved communities in our state and in this nation have not adopted protective plans for preservation; they are vulnerable to gentrification, social injustice, and financial instability as a result.
We are here to help change this, and to assist communities with reaching their full potential – one neighborhood at a time.
The vision and mission of our company will be achieved through the clients we serve. We are working to create mitigation/community benefits agreements when communities are threatened by development and gentrification. We work to develop informed and effective elected officials. We are working to develop community owned affordable housing so that neighborhoods increase their capacity to sustain themselves. We are working to grow African- American tourism related businesses and cultural arts related organizations as another tool for sustainability. These are our objectives. With so much going on in the world today, there are people who wish they could do more to help. Graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a BA in Philosophy and Political Science. 40 years experience in long term care, mostly in the public and faith-based not for profit sectors as an administrator and executive director. A lifelong Democratic Party activist, at 15, volunteered on first campaign as volunteer coordinator for a candidate for state senate. Managed first campaign at 16, a candidate for state representative and then accepted progressively more responsibility from the local Party. Remained active in Democratic politics ever since. Among many roles, was on the Board of Directors for Western Pa for Kerry, and a canvass director in Allegheny County for President Obama’s reelection in 2012. Since moving to Greenville, worked on local campaigns, served as an organizer on two Democratic Presidential campaigns, served as the Volunteer Coordinator for the GCDP, Co-coordinator of the Precinct Development Committee and currently the Greenville County Democratic Party Executive Committeeman.
Akayla Sellers is a recent graduate from the College of Charleston with a double degree in public Health and Political Science. She now serves as a political consultant and activist Lou9who works to provide community economic development, planning, public health safety and political services to community based organizations, small businesses, government agencies, and political campaigns serving rural and urban communities. Akayla has established strong relationships through her work on the Bernie Sanders Presidential Campaign as a State College Outreach Coordinator. Akayla has served as the political director for the re-election of State Representative Wendell Gilliard for District 111 where he secured a victory. During the 2020 Election cycle she managed a JC & Associates’ special project for the State Democratic party organizing dozens of College students to canvas and door knock for Rep. Krystle Simmons and Rep JA Moore. Akayla is also the coordinator for the Annual African- American Tourism Conference held at the College of Charleston in Downtown Charleston.
Kwadjo Campbell is an Economic & Political Development consultant with over 20 years of experience in community organizing, and public policy issues affecting under- served communities. He has advised community organizations and businesses in the Charleston region in regards to Federal Mitigation Agreements relating to transportation, and port expansion projects. He is also public policy advisor on community and economic development issues to public agencies and state and local elected officials representing the Charleston and Greenville regions. Kwadjo served as the South Carolina State Director for the Bernie 2020 Presidential campaign, and Upstate Political Director for the Jaime Harrison Campaign 2020. He served 8 Years on Charleston City Council, and also served in Desert Storm as a member of the United States Marine Corps. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Charleston, and a Masters in Education at Clemson University.
Emma Jameson studied Political Science and History at Converse College, getting her first taste of campaigns when she was a fellow with Kamala Harris Presidential campaign. Following the end of the fellowship, she stayed on as a volunteer, logging countless hours phone-banking, coordinating events and meeting voters one on one to discuss issues important to them. Emma has volunteered and interned with other campaigns.
While Emma embraces all of the Democratic Party Platforms, she is especially passionate on the subject of disability rights. A pediatric stroke survivor, she has been a lifelong volunteer and advocate for organizations and individuals impacted by disability. Emma is looking forward to a brighter future for all South Carolinians and is committed to the election of candidates who actively seek out the voices of all their constituents.
Renee is a native of Charleston, SC and has a twin sister. She attended The Charleston County School of the Arts where she played the viola in the orchestra, and was a member of the Charleston Youth Symphony. Renee graduated from Trident Technical technical college with an associates in arts, Bachelor of Science in business from Limestone College, and a MBA from Webster university. Renee has over 15 years of events and communications experience. Shr also works in the tech field in Charlotte NC. Renee has served as Communications director of JC Associates’ Lowcountry Office. She handles communications for the African- American Tourism Conference, and our clients in the Lowcountry of SC.
Mr. Baine is a graduate of Ramapo State College of New Jersey 1987, with Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Political Science and Metropolitan Studies. Mr. Baine has over thirty years of political organizing experience in local, state, and national political campaigns. He has served in numerous roles as a political operative, performing opposition research, campaign reporting compliance, fund raising, communication, field director, campaign manager, deputy director of political operations and consulting services to political and community organizing efforts. He is a New Jersey Government Affairs Agent, 15 years as a Member of the Newark, NJ Zoning Board of Adjustment, Board of Education Member, Democratic District Leader, Young Democrat Chairman Central Ward, Member Newark Board of Education, and Member of the American Legion Post 152. Terence is CEO of T S Baine Political Strategies, LLC and founded the empowerment group Organize a 527 social issues advocacy company. Terence is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and has worked as a Social Worker in the New Jersey State Prison system, Affirmative Action Specialist, Child Protective Care Investigator, and Affirmative Action Investigator. Mr. Baine has one daughter Tiffanie, is the proud Grandfather of 3 year old Sloane.
Stacey Mars was born and brought up in Piedmont, SC. She obtained a degree in Business Management from Erskine College in 2005, and followed that up with a Masters of Business Administration in 2013. In 2019, Stacey volunteered on Vice President Harris’ presidential primary campaign, as a Phone Bank Captain, leading volunteers in educating people on the then-Senator’s policies and issues. Stacey became involved with the Greenville County Democratic Party and served as the Volunteer Coordinator from January, 2020 – May, 2021. As Volunteer Coordinator, she assisted people who were looking to get involved with the Democratic Party in finding where their talents could be best utilized. Stacey directed volunteers on multiple campaigns, such as those of Jaime Harrison for US Senate, Samantha Wallace for Greenville County Council, and Amanda McDougald Scott for County Council as well. In that time, she also served as Community Organizer for Blue Dot SC Strategies. As Community Organizer, she worked to execute efficient and effective field plans that involved training volunteers to phone bank, text bank, and literature drop. More recently, Stacey has also become elected Greenville County Democratic Black Caucus Black Agenda Education Chair, and graduated from the Emerge SC Class of 2021. Stacey now works for JC & Associates as Political Upstate Project Manager. In this role, Stacey works to develop field plans, coordinate communications, build social media strategies, and execute events that excite and engage volunteers.
